National Leaders Spotlight: Rich Bergdahl
To kick off the new year, we’re featuring outstanding REALTORS® here on our website to highlight the great work our members are doing for the Association at the national level. If you want to get involved or learn more about leadership opportunities, please contact Seattle King County REALTORS® CEO Russ Hokanson.
In his 19 years as a REALTOR®, Rich Bergdahl has enjoyed concurrent active involvement in many roles at Seattle King County REALTORS® (last 15 years), Washington REALTORS® (16 years), and the National Association of REALTORS® (six years).
Bergdahl serves on NAR’s Legal Affairs Committee and as the Chair of the Amicus Brief Advisory Board within the Committee. The Amicus Brief Advisory Board reviews proposals for NAR to participate as amicus curiae, or “friend of the court,” in litigation of concern to the real estate industry. The Legal Action program provides financial assistance to REALTORS®, Associations, MLSs, property owners, and others engaged in litigation that may have important precedential significance to the real estate industry. Bergdahl also serves as a Director for NAR.
“As Seattle King County REALTORS® President-Elect in 2018, I look forward to sharing the knowledge and experiences gained from involvement at the state and national levels to encourage and develop the future leaders that will navigate our local membership and association through the exciting and challenging landscapes our industry faces daily,” said Bergdahl.
Association committee and leadership positions provide our members a priceless opportunity to grow as a REALTOR®. Bergdahl recommends stepping up, volunteering, and investing this quality development time in your career. For Bergdahl, “Volunteering created a professional advantage in the market that my client’s benefit from – such involvement makes one a more professional, connected, and effective representative and advocate for clients. Time very well spent.”
Thank you for your leadership!
