Certified Investment Analyst TM
Certified Investment Analyst is the new designation course designed to give you:
Skills to make difficult deals work
New ways to analyze the real value real estate investments in the new market
After course follow up to strengthen your skills.
Why the CIA Courses?
1. Content and delivery that is something “in the middle” of the low cost/time and high cost/time designations available.
2. Live training that is focused, high impact, and skill based. This is practical, hands, “what, why and how” training. When you leave you will know how to do new things. Real, practical, functional things.
3. CIA courses were designed with a real after course benefit included in the tuition. You’ll get exclusive access to a website with a virtual classroom, additional problem and answer sets, video clips, and more.
What you’ll learn:
1. The Core skills—how to use time value of money, building cash flow worksheets, analyzing capital gains, and the measurements of return: IRR, NPV and MIRR. You’ll need an HP10BII or HP12C calculator.
2. Installment sales—what they are, how to put them together, what they mean for your clients. In this age of financing, this is the new skill you need to make the deals. I’ve sold several buildings this way. Quick close, quick commission.
3. Comparing the Choices—we will look at analyzing sale alternatives—sell for cash, sell on installment, or 1031 exchange. Which is better. What should you do?
Clock Hours
The course is approved for 15.0 clock hours of WA continuing education.
