Bill to Allow Brokers to Sell Floating Homes

and Floating On Water Residences, Moored in Rules Committee

HB 1309, which would allow real estate brokers to sell floating homes and floating on water residences without requiring a vessel dealers license, sailed out of the policy committee unanimously but has been moored in Rules committee. The House Speaker wishes to be assured that “live aboard” constituents do not have issues with HB 1309. REALTORS® continue advocacy efforts to pass HB 1309 because many of the floating on water residences were licensed as vessels, and, as such, were not able to be listed on the NWMLS nor were real estate brokers who were not also licensed as vessel dealers allowed to sell them.
