Will Seattle district elections change the landscape on the city council?

Seattle is changing the way it elects city councilmember from citywide elections to seven candidates elected from districts and two candidates elected citywide.  For the nine positions up for election, 47 candidates have filed. Three longtime incumbents: Tom Rasmussen, Sally Clark, and Nick Licata, have announced they will not seek reelection.
