NAR Director election set for August 2
President Patti Hill has announced August 2, 2016 as the date when Seattle King County REALTORS® will elect the Association’s representatives to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). The Association will elect two representatives to the NAR Board of Directors this year. These Board representatives will serve two year terms and attend national meetings in order to represent Seattle King County REALTOR® members at the national level. The Association’s local Board of Directors, along with our delegation of state directors, will act as the electors. They will meet in the Association offices at 1:30 to hear from the declared candidates and then cast ballots.
Members who are interested in running for these positions should contact CEO Russ Hokanson. The deadline for submitting a Declaration of Candidacy form is July 28. Minimum requirements include service as a state director and attendance at an NAR meeting with the past three years and service as a local committee member within the past five years.
