4 in 5 REALTORS® have positive outlook about their business through 2018

In a survey of Seattle King County REALTORS® during July 2016, 81% of respondents said they have a positive outlook for their business in the next two years.

slide567% of respondents are brokers and are in offices located in Seattle/North and Eastside King County. The majority are female, aged 52-69. 43% brokers have been a licensed real estate professional for over sixteen years, and 73% and indicated real estate to be 50% or more of their household income.

The survey also asked brokers to rate the importance of eleven REALTOR® Association benefits and resources. The Legal Hotline and Tech Helpline rated highest overall, followed by the REALTOR® Content Resource. 46% of respondents rated Local Industry Professionals (Affiliate members) as important along with products/services discounts and offers at 41%.

Respondents indicated they find the majority of listed REALTOR® services valuable with ‘advocating for favorable real estate legislation’ rated highest (80%). ‘Providing information on real estate issues’, ‘continuing education classes (clock hours)’, ‘enforcing Code of Ethics and Arbitration services’ and ‘promoting REALTORS® through media and public relations’ all received over a 65% response rate.
