Local REALTORS® prefer in-class education and legal topics for clock hour requirements

In a recent survey of Seattle King County REALTORS®, 3 in 5 said they had taken in-class clock hour classes. When asked what training methods they’ve use to take education classes during
their last renewal, most respondents (61%) had taken more than three in a live classroom. 26% to 38% had taken at least one class online. Legal and license issues was determined to be the most preferred course topic (73%) followed by core curriculum (62%), code of ethics training (57%) and negotiating skills (55%).

education-slideBattle of the Barristers, a 3-clock hour forum featuring real estate attorneys, was the special event that brokers would most likely attend in the next year (49%). Respondents also like the free quarterly educational forums offered by SKCR Affiliates (24%). The forums are posted on the event calendar.

The survey was conducted July 12 to 28, 2016, and had 261 responses. Kris LaBrie, Keith Martin, Laura Brodniak and Saundra Mock were the winners of the survey drawing, and each received a $75 visa card.
