2018 Board of Directors convenes for Leadership Summit
The 2018 Seattle King County REALTORS® Board of Directors met Wednesday to discuss Seattle market trends and strategic initiatives for the year ahead. Members heard first from Monica Beck of NWMLS about member satisfaction, and communication projects moving forward. Randy Bannecker of Bannecker & Associates Public Affairs gave an overview of the current affordable housing situation in Seattle and what the upcoming mayoral election could mean for real estate. Finally, Margaret Morales of Sightline Institute discussed her article “Why Seattle builds apartments, but Vancouver, British Columbia, builds condos,” expanding on year over year comparisons of Seattle and Vancouver housing starts and on legislative reforms that would spur condo development to help begin to fill the condo housing niche.
Thanks to the speakers and Board members who were in attendance, and a special shout to our winners of the 2017 Match the Staff to Their Pets competition.
