Local NAR Director election announced as July 10
The Board has announced July 10, 2018 as the date when Seattle King County REALTORS® will elect representatives of the Association to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). The Association will elect two representatives to the NAR Board of Directors this year. These Board representatives will serve two-year terms and attend national meetings to represent Seattle King County REALTOR® members at the national level. The Association’s local Board of Directors, along with our delegation of state directors, will act as the electors. They will meet in the Association offices at 12:30 p.m. to hear from the declared candidates and then cast ballots.
Members who are interested in running for these positions should contact CEO Russ Hokanson. The deadline for submitting a Candidate Application Form is June 29. All applications are reviewed and approved by the Nominations Committee before a candidate is declared eligible. Minimum requirements include service as a state director and attendance at an NAR meeting within the past three years and service as a local committee member within the past five years.
