Marie Hansch named Director of Business Practices and Education at Seattle King County REALTORS®
Marie Hansch has been promoted to the Director of Business Practices and Education position following Claudia Crowell’s retirement from the Association in April of this year.
Marie started working at Seattle King County REALTORS® in December 2007 as the Executive Projects and CRS Coordinator after receiving her BA in Business from Central Washington University. Recently, she has focused on leadership programming for the Association.
The Director of Business Practices is responsible for developing and managing the Association’s comprehensive Business Practices programs, including all educational offerings, diversity/international real estate programs and administration of the Professional Standards process.
“I am excited for the challenge of my new position at the Association and the opportunity to play a bigger role in supporting the professionalism of our industry through business practices and educational programs,” said Marie. “The landscape for education programs looks a lot different than the Association has experienced before. As everyone else has, I’ve had to pivot and develop a new plan for Association classes to continue to meet the needs of members. I look forward to when we can have onsite classes again in the classroom. I miss seeing our members and instructors somewhere other than on a screen!”
Marie is also the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Coordinator and Residential Real Estate Council (RRC) State Administrator. She provides primary administrative support and management of business operations for Washington RRC and organizes their CRS courses.
“Marie’s years of experience managing the RRC programs in Washington provided the perfect experience for our Business Practices Director,” said CEO Russ Hokanson. “Claudia Crowell helped build a successful education program over the last 31 years. With her energy and know-how, Marie is ready to carry that success forward.”
