Congratulations to our Q1 Good Neighbor, Adrienne Gillis!

When Adrienne Gillis is not selling homes, she could be found supporting families and individuals displaced by fires through the American Red Cross. Her dedication to her community has earned her our very first Seattle King County REALTORS® Q1 Good Neighbor Award. This award goes beyond verbal recognition and a certificate as American Red Cross will also receive $500 to further support their work in our community.

Just like the National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Awards, we recognize REALTOR® members who make a positive impact on their community and gifts the organization through which they volunteer time and talents.

Adrienne has been a REALTOR® since 1985 and is currently with Keller Williams Realty Puget Sound. She has been volunteering with American Red Cross for the past two years, dedicating a total of over 2,700 volunteer hours (both assigned and on call). She has donated additional hours working towards the mission of American Red Cross and leading other volunteers.

Adrienne has supported people displaced by home fires and other disasters through service on the Disaster Action Team and as the Casework and Recovery Lead – providing emotional support, connecting people to community resources, helping them plan their next steps and providing donor dollars/immediate financial assistance in the middle of the night. She has personally been involved in hundreds of cases and leads other volunteers. She was also presented the Spirit of Service Award from American Red Cross.

“When someone has just lost everything they own in a home fire, it is often the worst day of their life,” said Adrienne. “Volunteers like myself from the American Red Cross will show up, any time of day or night, to provide emergency aid and offer support for their recovery. I am very happy to bring attention to the value of giving back to the community as well as the great work of the American Red Cross.”

Seattle King County REALTORS® congratulates Adrienne for her achievement and appreciates her huge contributions and dedication to our community.

“The Good Neighbor Award committee is pleased to present the very first SKCR Good Neighbor Award to Adrienne who has gone the extra miles to help her community,” said Caitlin Olsen, Good Neighbor Award Committee Chair. “This award is dedicated to her commitment to balancing her real estate career with her volunteer efforts at American Red Cross. We would also like to thank all Q1 nominees and look forward to presenting our Q2 Good Neighbor Award.”
