Don’t Miss the Deadline to Complete DOL-Required Fair Housing Training

All real estate licensees must complete the new 6-hour Fair Housing course by June 1, 2023- regardless of their license renewal date.

Fair Housing training deadline: June 1, 2023

All licensees are required to complete the 6-hour Washington Real Estate Fair Housing course by June 1, 2023. Anyone renewing on or after June 1 will be unable to renew their license without completing this course.

I renew my license later this year; can I wait to take the class?

Regardless of their next renewal date, all licensees must take the new required course by June 1, 2023. A Broker that misses the deadline will be out of compliance with licensing requirements and could face serious consequences if audited by the DOL.

When do we offer the Fair Housing class?

• May 4: Washington Real Estate Fair Housing in person 9:30am–4:30pm
• May 22–23: Washington Real Estate Fair Housing via Zoom 9:00am–12:00pm both days

Does any Fair Housing course qualify?

No. Only the Fair Housing course titled, “Washington Real Estate Fair Housing (6-hr)”, will meet the new education requirements.
