Hill Day 2019

Join hundreds of REALTORS® from around the state for Hill Day! This Legislative Session will be pivotal for REALTORS® in Washington. Show up, talk to REALTORS®, talk to Staff, and meet with Legislators on the Hill! Let’s make housing the #1 priority for the state legislature.

Introduction To “Hill Day”
On Thursday, January 24, Washington REALTORS® will hold the annual “Hill Day in Olympia” at the Hotel RL, 2300 Evergreen Park Drive SW, Olympia, WA 98502.
9:00 AM General Session – “Hill Day” will begin at 9:00 AM in the downstairs ballrooms with a “General Information Session” to explain what will happen during the day, hear from legislative leaders, provide you with an explanation of the issues we will be discussing with legislators, and prepare you to “Go Up On The Hill” at the State Capitol and meet with legislators.
11:30 AM SKCR Caucus with Box Lunch – Then, from 11:30 – 12:30, attendees from SKCR will caucus together at a working lunch (with box lunches) to answer your questions, review the schedule of appointments we’ve made to meet with legislators, and make sure any “1st Time Attendees” are linked-up with experienced colleagues to ensure it’s all “no worries” and a great experience for everyone!
12:30 PM Leave by Bus for the Capitol Campus
1:00 PM Begin Meetings with Legislators, & Return to Hotel RL by 4:15
4:15 PM De-Brief Meeting with State Association Staff
6:00 PM Legislative Reception at the new Washington REALTORS® building (504 14th Avenue SE Olympia, WA 98501)
7:00 PM Free Bus departs from WR building for return to King County
8:00 PM Reception Concludes
9:00 PM Last person departs Free Bus
At 12:30 we’ll board buses that will be at the front door of the hotel, which will take us up to the State Capitol campus where we’ll meet with our local legislators. Then, we’ll take the buses back to the Red Lion, and at 4:15 – 5:30 pm we’ll de-brief with our state association lobbyists regarding our visits with legislators. Finally, the REALTORS® will host a reception at the new Washington REALTORS® building for a relaxed visit from 6:00–8:00 pm with legislators and their staffs. Those traveling to Olympia on the SKCR free bus (see below) you will need to be back on the SKCR bus before it leaves from the WR building (reception) at 7:00 pm to return to King County.
Getting to Olympia – SKCR has a free bus to get you to and from the event. Information for those Registered:
If you are an SKCR member, you can take a free bus to and from Hill Day in Olympia. Special Thanks to Cullen MacKintosh of Centennial Home Inspection for underwriting the cost of the bus! If you have questions or need to contact Cullen for issues the day of, his cell number is 425-820-7087.

Never participated in Legislative Day before? All the more reason to get involved! Join us as we fill a bus to Olympia, WA on January 24 to meet with legislators and provide them with advocacy points to help strengthen the housing market!
FREE transportation to Olympia! We’ll provide you with everything you need (including an experienced group leader) to hold successful meetings with State Senators and Representatives. The larger the turnout, the stronger our collective voice.
Bus registration DOES NOT include registration for Legislative Hill Day. Hill Day registration should be completed at Washington REALTORS® website. First-time attendees to Hill Day will receive FREE registration. You must register through Washington REALTORS® by January 16.
The complimentary bus transportation for the REALTORS’® Hill Day on Thursday, January 24 offers 3 pick-up (and drop off) locations:
- Arrives at 6:15 a.m. at the Safeway on 75th and Roosevelt, departs at 6:25 a.m.
- Stops at 7 a.m. at SKCR (12410 SE 32nd Street, Bellevue 98005)
- Stops between 7:30 a.m. – 7:40 a.m. at the Federal Way Park & Ride, 31635 23rd S, Federal Way
- Arrives by 9 a.m. at the Olympia Red Lion
- Reloads at the WR building*, 504 14th Avenue SE, Olympia at 6:45 p.m. and departs at 7 p.m. to take passengers back to the three pick-up areas.
*The WR building is where the reception occurs. Attendees can take a different free shuttle from the hotel to the WR building.
Return bus transportation will depart from the WR REALTOR® Building at 7 p.m. and return passengers to origins by 9 p.m. Space is limited!
