Housing Affordability Legislative Update – In Person Training

Legislative Update on Housing Issues

The 2023 Washington State Legislative session was the year of housing! Several significant bills were passed including missing middle housing, ADUs, Permitting, and Condo Reform that will have a major impact on the housing market and real estate sales. This class will include panels representing the real estate industry, government, builders, business community, and affordable housing organizations discussing what was accomplished this session and what work still needs to be done.

Panel 1: A discussion of the current state of the real estate market, the challenges municipalities and affordable housing advocates are facing in providing housing for all.

Panel 2: A discussion of legislation that was passed at the State level and how it addresses affordable housing issues.

Panel 3: A discussion of what was not accomplished this legislative session and what is being planned for the future.
