NexTitle Puget Sound
What does your company do and how does it benefit REALTORS®?
NexTitle Puget Sound provides title insurance in King, Pierce & Snohomish counties, and escrow services throughout the entire state of Washington. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional closing experience for buyer, sellers, and the brokers we serve. Our unique affiliated business model also provides REALTORS with the opportunity to become true partners in our business.
Why do you do what you do? Why should a REALTOR® hire you?
As a real estate attorney that has specialized exclusively in title and escrow for the last 20+ years, I “do what I do” because I love it. I have overseen the closing of tens of thousands of real estate transactions, and have had had the privilege of working with the same core team of escrow professionals over the course of my career. I think a REALTOR should hire me because I have “seen it all,” but realize there is always more to learn. Let’s do it together!
What is an interesting fact about you?
I was born in Kamloops, B.C. Canada and moved to Kirkland in 3rd grade. I am now a dual citizen. I am a LW High School grad (Go Kangs!), UW undergrad, & SU Law School alum. I was born into a real estate family, and my Dad owned a real estate and mortgage company in Bellevue that my mom, brothers, and sister all work at over the years. My dad was the one who gave me the idea of opening an escrow company after I graduated from law school.
I can trace my roots back to King John of England, and the first Duke of Cornwall. My Great, Great, Grandfather immigrated from our homestead in England in 1862 (called Ashcroft House), and he became the first Senator of British Columbia for which he served for 10 years. He and his brother established at 6000 acre cattle ranch in the interior of British Columbia which they called Ashcroft Ranch. I named my first escrow company Ashcroft Escrow.
