Christopher Dantzscher (Black Knight Real Estate)
Organization: United States Marine Corps Support Group (USMCSG)
Christopher Dantzscher has worn many hats in his adult life—teacher, coach, entrepreneur, REALTOR®—but it all started with a tour in the US Marine Corps in the mid-1980s. After his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree and launched his successful, varied career. Now a REALTOR®, Christopher volunteers his time and treasure to support Marine veterans in their educational endeavors.
The Good Neighbor Award Committee was pleased to present the $500 check for USMCSG to Christopher on January 13. Committee members Kathryn Freitas, John Welch, and Darla White attended to present the award.
The USMCSG is “committed to provid[ing] educational and charity services and support to the more than 60,000, Marines, Navy Corpsman, and their families in Washington State.” They provide funding and scholarships to enable veterans to stay in school, complete degrees or training programs, and obtain skills to be productive members of the community. The Support Group has regular lunch meetings to build community around the values and interests of the Marine community.
Since he got involved with USMCSG 6 years ago, Christopher has expanded the scholarship program by 50%, securing new partnerships with local colleges and even funding a scholarship himself. “Christopher is passionate about helping educate young Marine veterans reentering the civilian world,” said Alyssa Mathisen, a colleague at Black Knight Real Estate who nominated him. “He never fails to show up for people and is the epitome of a servant leader!”
Congratulations, and thank you for your support of an important local non-profit organization!
