The REALTOR® Association is a network of industry leaders, mentors and colleagues. Our classes and events help REALTORS® stay ahead of the competition and serve their clients to the highest standards.

Resources

As REALTORS®, our members enjoy comprehensive resources for keeping current on market trends, advancing their core competencies, and closing more sales. They’ve also got the added security of a team of advocates standing with them and for them, to protect their interests, from Seattle to Olympia to D.C.

Three-Tiered Membership

REALTOR Organization
Called the "Three-Way Agreement," membership at Seattle King County REALTORS® includes membership in Washington REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.

When a Designated Broker/Owner becomes a member of the three-tiered Association, they agree that all of the agents in their firms will be members as well. Individual agents cannot be members if they don't associate their licenses with a REALTOR® office.

REALTOR® Eligibility

To be a REALTOR® you must meet the following requirements:

Affiliate your license in a REALTOR® Office (the managing broker of the office must be a member with SKCR.)

Hold a current, valid Washington State real estate broker or managing broker’s license.

Have no recent or pending bankruptcy (within the past two years).

Have no record of official sanctions involving unprofessional conduct (within the past three years).

Pledge to abide by the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.
 
Pay REALTOR® dues (a portion of your dues also goes to the State and National Associations.)

Join the Association

REALTOR® Membership

REALTOR® membership is available to individual licensed brokers who affiliate their license with a REALTOR® member office or firm.

  1. Fill out your REALTOR® Member Application
  2. Pay your member dues ($694) with the application. Membership dues are prorated based on what time of year you join the association. Download the proration schedule.
  3. Take the Code of Ethics class within 6 months.

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate membership is available to industry-related professionals (e.g. stagers, mortgage lenders, etc.) that work with REALTORS® and their clients to ensure the best home buying/selling experience.

  1. Fill out the Affiliate Member Application
  2. Pay your member dues with the application

Renew Your Membership

Members renew annually by:

  1. Keeping their licenses current with the Department of Licensing.
  2. Taking a Code of Ethics class at least every 3 years
  3. Paying member dues by January 1 for the upcoming calendar year.
