Kittitas and Seattle King County REALTORS® Agree to Merge

REALTOR® brokerages from Ellensburg, Cle Elum, and throughout Kittitas County will join the Seattle King County REALTORS® in 2024. The Kittitas and King County associations discussed merging through the summer of 2023, and their merger was approved by both organizations in late October. The National Association of REALTORS® approved the merger application on December 13, 2023.
"Kittitas County has experienced a significant increase in population over the last ten years and with that comes the need for additional housing," said Hailey Rarden, Board President of Kittitas County Association of REALTORS®. "I am very excited to have the stellar team of staff at SKCR available to help us advocate for homeownership, address governmental affairs issues, and stay on top of property rights."
Seattle King County REALTORS® will continue as the name of the merged associations. Approximately 130 brokers from Kittitas County will now have access to expanded services in education and advocacy from their new Association, which Rarden calls "a great opportunity."

The merger will take effect on January 1, 2024.
