The 2026 Awards Committee, led by Past President Garrett Nelson, is calling for your nominations for outstanding REALTORS® and Affiliates who lead with vision and serve with intention.

The committee will consider your nominations and choose the recipients, who will then be honored at the annual Awards & Installation Gala on December 10 at the Sheraton Grand Seattle.

Award Descriptions

REALTOR® of the Year

The REALTOR® of the Year Award is the Association’s highest and most coveted award that can be bestowed by one’s peers. This award is based on the outstanding contributions of a REALTOR® to the local, state, and national REALTOR® Associations. The recipient must demonstrate what we call REALTOR® spirit: a faithfulness to the principles of the REALTOR® organizations, professionalism, and the Code of Ethics.

REALTOR® Achievement

The REALTOR® Achievement Award recognizes outstanding contributions by a REALTOR® to the local and/or state levels of the REALTOR® Association, and/or the industry as a whole and through a career of service to the Association.

Past winners include: Scott Dickinson, Cheyenne Gillooly, Hailey Rarden

 

Government Affairs Volunteer of the Year

This award is based on outstanding volunteerism in REALTOR® Governmental Affairs and for serving the community as a liaison on our legislative and political issues that affect real estate in our state.

Past winners include: Gina Madeya, Michele Hunt, Jennifer Gilbert-Smith

 

Affiliate of the Year

The Affiliate of the Year award recognizes an Affiliate member who goes above and beyond to help REALTORS® succeed in the real estate business by supporting and sponsoring REALTOR® events that encourage the success of agents.

Past winners include: Janet Olson, Dominique Przywara, Chuck Young

 

Young Professional Achievement

This award recognizes a young real estate professional who has demonstrated outstanding leadership within the local REALTOR® association and/or the industry by encouraging other young professionals to get involved in the association or by facilitating opportunities for young professionals to grow their networks and their understanding of the real estate business.

Past winners include: Savannah Scott, Mikaela Ji, Chelsea Halverson

 

REALTOR® Five to Follow

This award recognizes REALTORS® who demonstrate ingenuity and creativity in their careers. They innovate, reposition, and reinvent themselves and their business models in the changing markets. They have taken on a leadership and/or mentoring role to agents around them and are involved with volunteer organizations within their community.

 

Instructor of the Year

This award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to, and exemplified leadership and service in real estate education and who has taught a program sponsored by Seattle King County REALTORS®.

Past winners include: Mark Kitabayashi, Mike Spence, Sheri Newbold

 

Partner of the Year

This award is given to a cooperating association, news media, service provider, community activist group, etc. Selection will be based on community affairs, support of REALTOR® issues, and support of REALTOR® efforts overall.

REALTOR® Excellence

This award recognizes a REALTOR® who exemplifies excellence in the real estate industry, whether through demonstrated association leadership, community involvement or professional demeanor.

REALTOR® Industry Icon

The REALTOR® Industry Icon Award is given to a REALTOR® who is outstanding in their craft and has generously shared their dedication, leadership and real estate knowledge with their peers. In short, they are those who have left a lasting mark in the real estate community and in the communities they serve.

Lifetime Achievement

The Lifetime Achievement award is given to those special individuals who have shared their dedication, leadership, and real estate knowledge with their peers. In short, they are those who have left a lasting mark.
