Jordan Swerland has been working with REALTORS® since he was 10 years old—first by mowing lawns, and now as a senior loan officer with American Pacific Mortgage.

A little bit about Jordan

Why did you become an Affiliate with Seattle King County REALTORS®? President Garrett Nelson motivated me to show up. The high quality information I get from the speakers that show up at those YPN breakfasts are valuable to me in keeping a pulse on the market and the other side of our industry as I am on the financing side of things.

How do you work with REALTORS® generally? While on the financing side of the equation I work closely with REALTORS®; strategizing in advance to ensure a seamless and polished team approach when serving our mutual clients.

What do you enjoy about working in your field? I find the greatest satisfaction in helping a first-time homebuyer get to closing day on their new home. It's especially rewarding to see their excitement as they navigate this milestone, and I love answering all their questions about every step of the process. Each day and every transaction brings something new—whether it's a different pace, unique challenges, or diverse clients. This variety is what sets real estate apart from other industries, and it keeps me motivated and engaged every day.

What was your very first job? Mowing lawns for real estate agents and their clients at 10 years old

What is your preferred vacation type? Adventure sports

If you could work remotely from anywhere in the world, where would you go? Floating on a boat, where every day is 80 degrees

Are you a dog person or a cat person? Both

What's your favorite local/regional attraction/activity? Skiing at Stevens Pass is my winter weekend passion
