August Food & Funds Drive in Honor of Steven Wayne

Join us in supporting the Rainier Valley Food Bank (RVFB) during the month of August! This year's Food & Funds Drive offers more opportunity to get involved.
Give Food: Collection Day
Thursday, August 12, 11:00 AM–2:00 PM (SKCR Parking Lot)
Bring your food and hygiene donations to the parking lot of the Seattle King County REALTORS® office where the Gentle Giant Moving Van will be ready to receive them. After dropping off your items, grab a hot dog and stick around for some networking with other REALTORS® and Affiliate members.
The moving van will leave for RVFB at 2:00 PM with the donations. We cannot accept food & hygiene donations after that time.

Seattle King County REALTORS® has set up a donation page so that members can contribute financially to RVFB during the month of August. Donating money allows RVFB to respond more nimbly to the needs of the families they serve, especially considering that the Rainier Valley in Seattle is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country.
About Rainier Valley Food Bank
RVFB is the primary emergency food resource for Seattle’s most racially, ethnically, and economically diverse neighborhood and home to many people of color, immigrants, and refugees who regularly face systemic obstacles to living wage employment, affordable housing, and food security. It is home to a wide disparity of living standards where multi-million-dollar homes are down the street from Section Eight housing.
About Steven Wayne
This annual food drive is organized in memory of Steven Wayne who died in 2021. Steven was the 2003 President of Seattle King County REALTORS® and longtime managing broker with Windermere Mt. Baker. In addition to a variety of volunteer roles at all levels of the REALTOR® association, Steven was committed to the Rainier Valley Food Bank, which is located in the same neighborhood where he lived and worked.
