Four Candidates for the NAR 2027 Board of Directors Election

President Cheyenne Gillooly has announced an election on August 12 to fill one available position on the Board of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
Seattle King County REALTORS® is allocated two positions on the NAR Board of Directors. These NAR Directors are elected at the local level and serve two-year terms. The current vacancy is for calendar years 2027 and 2028. NAR Directors attend two national conferences a year and one regional forum.
The Board of Directors of Seattle King County REALTORS®, along with its caucus of Washington REALTORS® Directors, will elect the NAR Director by online ballot on August 12.
Four candidates have come forward to run for the NAR Board of Directors.
Candidates for 2027–2028
Molly Haines
I am honored to seek your support to serve as an NAR Director. Giving back to the profession that has given me so much has always been one of my greatest priorities. As a full-time REALTOR®, team leader, and volunteer leader, I understand the opportunities and challenges facing our members every day. I currently serve as Director at Large for Seattle King County REALTORS®, Director for Washington REALTORS®, and on the NAR RPAC Participation Council. I have also been elected to serve as the SKCR Vice President-Elect of Government & Public Affairs in 2027. These experiences have reinforced the importance of listening, building consensus, and advocating for policies that protect private property rights, expand housing opportunities, and strengthen our profession. If elected, I will serve with integrity, preparation, and collaboration while representing the interests of REALTORS® across the country. It would be an honor to earn your support.
Garrett Nelson
I’ve served as an NAR director representing SKCR for four years. It would be an honor to continue serving the association in this role. Volunteering at all three levels of the REALTOR® association has given me insight and understanding into our industry that I’ve shared locally in my leadership. SKCR has taught me many valuable leadership lessons and I plan to continue using and sharing those lessons to improve NAR. This year I’m the Chair of the NAR Large Board Forum and sit on the Local Leadership Idea Exchange Council. These positions have given me the opportunity to use my local leadership experience from SKCR to shape conversations around association leadership: the issues they’ve faced and overcome and how local associations can better work with and interact with NAR. I look forward to continuing to serve the associations and the industry as an NAR director for SKCR.
Savannah Scott
As our industry faces affordability challenges, AI, consolidation, insurance pressures, and continued market changes, strong REALTOR® organizations have never been more important. Over my 11 years in real estate as a fourth-generation REALTOR®, first as a broker and now as a VP at John L. Scott, I have seen firsthand how REALTOR® associations support members and help expand access to homeownership.
I currently hold director and committee member positions with SKCR®, Washington REALTORS®, and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®. From these experiences, including years of involvement supporting YPN, I have built relationships with brokers across Washington and throughout the country.
Those relationships have shaped my collaborative, informed, and future-focused perspective. I hope to bring that perspective to the NAR Board by focusing on solutions that support REALTORS®, strengthen businesses, and advance homeownership.
Craig Walker
Advocacy has been central to my professional life for more than 30 years across three industries. As Vice President-Elect of Governmental and Public Affairs for Seattle King County REALTORS®, a Washington REALTORS® State Director, and an RPAC Trustee, I strive to protect private property rights, expand housing opportunities, and strengthen the REALTOR® voice. I am seeking this position to be a strong connection between our local, state, and national associations, upholding the Three-Way Agreement. I will bring the perspective of a working broker who understands the challenges our members face and believes association leadership must be present, accessible, and accountable. If elected, I will listen to our members and clients, carry their concerns to the national level, and communicate clearly about the decisions made on their behalf. I would be honored to earn your support and represent Seattle King County REALTORS® and Washington REALTORS® as an NAR Director.

The Role of the NAR Director
The National Association of REALTORS® is a member-driven association. Members of the NAR Board of Directors have duties and responsibilities for governing the association, and the association counts on directors to participate as we deliberate issues that impact our members’ daily business lives.
