REALTOR® Scholarship Program

Scholarship Winners and First Citizen Recipients

Sorry, the application period for 2019 is now closed.

Pictured above: 2016 Scholarship recipients meet with past First Citizen Award recipients.

Seattle King County REALTORS® First Citizen Scholarship Awards are presented in honor of the many contributions made by REALTORS® and their families to the growth, health, and betterment of our communities, as exemplified by the recipients of the Seattle First Citizen Award.

In 1997, PEMCO Insurance awarded five scholarships to children of REALTORS® to acknowledge Seattle King County REALTORS® for hosting the First Citizen Award each year. In September 1998, SKCR founded the “Seattle First Citizen Scholarship Foundation (SFCSF)” to continue the scholarship program in honor of the Seattle First Citizen Award recipients. The scholarship program has been expanded over the years to offer scholarships to SKCR REALTOR® and Affiliate members, their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Awards shall be for a maximum of $5,000 per year, per recipient. The number and amount of the awards shall be determined annually by the SFCSF Board of Directors, based upon the contributions received in any given year. SFCSF is a 501C(3) charitable corporation, so your contributions are tax deductible.

The SFCSF Board of Directors will review all applications and select the winners. Winners will be formally announced at the annual First Citizen Awards Banquet. Each winner will be invited to attend a private luncheon with past First Citizen recipients in early summer.
